You may have noticed that there isn’t much happening around here lately, and that I haven’t been promoting The Wayfarer’s Tale much anymore.
However I have been posting regularly on twitter, if anyone wishes to check that out.

This inactivity is because there is a bit of a “cocoon mode” going on, before the butterfly that is my next book is completed, at which time The Wayfarer’s Tale will be going out of print. As with any creative endeavor, there is always room for improvement! It is been a great learning experience in the writing/editing/publishing process, and with luck this experience will be reflected in the next work.

I may publish a 2nd edition of The Wayfarer’s Tale at a later time, but that remains to be seen.

The back door to chaos is open
shall we look inside?

Graceful strides flow without movement
Seem still, they do, in the face of reason

The flow of purpose lies in ruin
oh, how would I intend to bring it back

There once was a vision of love so clear
Now obscured by illusion and an ignorant ear

To live in truth seems like a lie
for who could know me,
complete with the seamless sky?

The things that seem to move
Lie still, it seems, under mystic glance

For all movement is only a play
Yet none lie still for many a day

I’ve seen life through God’s own eye
But how can I tell of this before we die?

To live in lies seems so vain
But who would complain?

who would want to try to abstain?
Who would try and refrain?

When after all, it’s all the same

Standing in the doorway, where I watch the world flow
The difference between it and I is illusion, I know
Wondering and waiting for the time to go
But if that time’s upon me, I really don’t know

I’ll spread my cards in a spiral upon the floor
I invoke the muses and open the door
Suddenly there is no past or future anymore

Ages come between us, and ages they pass
A distortion of perception, a looking-glass
Ever seeking silence, always in time
To catch a glimpse of timelessness in another’s eye

When the watcher isn’t watching, a choice is made
To undo the results of all the games that we’ve played
In the vacuum behind silence, our thoughts are stayed
We never even realized that we were betrayed

Take this short confession, take it to your mind
Never realizing just what you may find
Take this evolution for what it could become
It could be all unfolded, and it could only be some..

Lost threads of a distant fate
A counterweight to what we await
In the halls of the labyrinth we search
For the pattern and meaning of our births

“Awake!” The sovereign savior decrees
All the sentient beings must be freed
Asleep, the ubiquitous masses take heed
Only to be forced into slumber by incessant need

The vista beyond the labyrinthine walls
The elegant pattern which constantly calls
To itinerant wanderers, near, far and wide
To the sparks of divinity lost inside

This web, a prison whose walls are alive
With clever awareness that always decides
To obscure the exit when you arrive
To string you along and ensure that you strive

Until you realize that your compass and map
Are counterfeit, an intricate trap
Your spyglass is fractured, imperfect and dumb
The markers on the path only poison breadcrumbs

To lead you deeper and deeper within
The skein of despair, deceit and then
To rob you of the fabulous treasure you keep
The soul of the savior, inside you, asleep

Take heart, for there is a wise and true guide
To the lodestone within, you may always confide
It can always be trusted to show you the way
If you only can listen to what it has to say

I have been watching
the crumbling of this place
Although the streets are filled with souls

There is great potential
in the challenge that we face
But there is so much happening
that it is hard to keep the pace

For so many centuries
there was time enough to wait
But that time is lost now
we must act before it’s too late

Arrogance and ignorance?
Or elegance and salience?
Blind acceptance is no way
to solve the problems we face today

All the lies that we are told
can be undone if we are bold
The truth is sometimes hard to see
We are love and light and we are free

Don’t believe what they tell you on TV
Don’t accept their theories of a doomed reality
Don’t put your faith in anyone, especially not me
Keep your faith for yourself, in this is sanity

But do not take this to mean
that you should not trust
But trust should be intelligent
not based on need or lust

Politicians talk
without saying anything
But everyone is blinded
by the assurances that they bring

Deny your impulse to fail
You can’t hide your tracks or cover your trail
We are all naked for the world to see
Either you live as a slave or strive to be free

Beryond the barrier of repulsion and desire
Beyond the categorization of eternity
Above and below, within and without
All angles are saturated with uncertainty

This precious infinity, one moment is all we ever see
Yet, by process, we define the chronology of “me”
Clinging to this infantile sense of continuity
A toy for a child, a need for normalcy

Moment after moment, filed categorically
Continually veiling the luminescent infnity
Deny this sequence, this accursed library
Abandon all concepts, and don’t do it conceptually

From the void, desires are being born
Each breath that one takes, another is taking form
